Hands Free solutions

In a public area, doors and door hardware are among the most commonly touched surfaces. Cleaning and disinfecting them frequently is the most effective way to prevent the spread of germs. We are seeing new innovations emerge in response to the need to find ways to open and close doors without having to use our hands, through minimal contact or even contactless openings.

Access control

Openow® app

From contactless to less contact.

The new measures will lead us to promote less contact as far as possible. This will mean minimising contact between people and between people and objects used on a daily basis. Thanks to the Openow® app, users will be able to access meeting rooms, hotel rooms and other facilities for which they are authorised, through their smartphones using Bluetooth® Low Energy technology.

Antimicrobial range

Antimicrobial handle

The micro-organisms present in our surroundings represent a threat in hospital, childcare and nursing home environments etc. TESA ASSA ABLOY has a range of antimicrobial handles and panic bars specially developed for these environments that have a bactericidal power of 95% against organisms such as Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococcus hirae and Candida albicans, a group of bacteria more common in hospitals and nursing homes.

Automation systems

OBERMATIC door operator

The OBM 505 operator, compatible with any type of door, offers total digital control throughout the travel during the opening and closing of the door, as well as the most complete connectivity, which makes it possible to operate it in different ways, all without having to use your hands to push or pull the door.

TCP single point electro-retractable lock

The TCP electromechanical lock, ideal for use on main entrance doors and to automate doors, is a combination of an automatic lock and an electric strike. When the strike receives the signal to open, the closing point is opened, after which it is a simple matter of pushing the door with the body to open it, without using the hands.

TMB multipoint motorised lock

The TMB motorised lock with 3 locking points allows the door to be opened, automatically opening the latch and the high and low locking points from the outside by means of an electrical signal (dual key, proximity card, remote control, etc.), thus avoiding touching the door hardware to open it.

Mechanical systems

Roller locks

Roller locks are also an ideal solution to reduce hand contact with door hardware. In the case of swing doors, roller locks offer the possibility of opening the door simply by pushing it in both directions. In the case of more conventional doors, you push to enter and pull to exit.

Door closer with Cam-Motion® technology and sliding guide

Door closers are the ideal mechanical devices to ensure the closing of the door without having to push it. On all the available models, we would highlight the DC500 and DC700 door closers, since thanks to their symmetrical cam mechanism they offer the highest accessibility requirements without losing performance in terms of the strength and control of door closing.

Door accessories

Arm pulls are easy and cost-effective options for hands-free door opening. Ideal for aluminium, metal or wood doors, such as main entrances, passageways and toilets where the traffic of people is high.

PISADORMAN foot door opener

This new solution to open the door with the foot can be installed on practically all doors with a handle. By stepping on the lever with your foot, the rope pulls on the handle and thus opens the latch so that the door is opened simply by pushing or pulling with your foot, thus avoiding touching the handle with your hands.
