TESA ASSA ABLOY's Cool armoured door, the first pivot door to obtain a 3C rating

The door test carried out by Tecnalia concluded that this model deserves a 3C security rating

With the aim of testing and offering the best possible products, TESA ASSA ABLOY has had its Cool armoured pivot door certified, achieving a 3C security rating. It is the first armoured pivot door to obtain a certification and, therefore, the only one on the market that is currently certified. This is an important milestone for the Spanish leader in locking and access control solutions, which offers an armoured door with a cutting-edge design as well as a high level of security certified by the Tecnalia Technological Research and Development Centre.

According to José Juan Peral, product manager for TESA ASSA ABLOY armoured doors, they are very “proud” to have obtained the certification. “We have dedicated a lot of resources to identifying the key points to be able to test this armoured door and offer an attractive and secure product,” says Peral, “which in its initial development stood out for its design but that we felt had to be tested, like the rest of our armoured doors”.

The Cool armoured door offers an innovative opening concept: the hinges are replaced by a pivot opening system. It is ideal for properties with a cutting-edge design where there is a desire to integrate the door into the façade and to also have a high level of security. This model has a high performance floor door closer, as well as a highly secure multipoint lock with automatic closing. That is to say, when the door is closed, the deadbolts and hooks are automatically deployed. It has two anti-burglary escutcheons and the TX80 high security cylinder, with anti-drill, anti-picking, anti-bumping, and anti-burglary protection.
