The TESA ASSA ABLOY Premium armoured door, certified according to the most demanding Spanish regulations
The TESA ASSA ABLOY Premium armoured door successfully qualifies for the UNE 85160:2013 standard that proves its resistance to violent attacks.
The premises of the Sainte Anne de Lyon nursing home are made up of several buildings. Some of them are more than a century old, while others date from the 1980s and 1990s. During the major renovation carried out in the premises as a whole in 2015, the aim was to replace the already outdated hardwired and card access system. Those responsible for the installation opted for a combination of the different management systems offered by SMARTair™ Wireless Online and management with Update On Card to offer an optimal, flexible solution capable of properly satisfying the needs of the residents.
Now, Sainte Anne managers control and monitor access to ensure the safety of their 67 residents, as well as 42 employees, 12 suppliers and the centre’s many external maintenance employees.
Critical doors, such as those that provide access to personnel/technical areas, and sensitive rooms such as the infirmary, are protected by 30 handles and SMARTair™ wall readers. The SMARTair™ device for the main entrance comes equipped with an RFID reader and keypad, adding an extra level of security to such a critical access point. Thanks to the easy-to-use SMARTair™ software, employees program it so that the door is open between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., requiring a valid credential and/or PIN at any other time.
For easy monitoring and real-time control, the most critical doors on the ground floor and basement are managed with the Wireless Online system. SMARTair™ management software makes the system much easier for staff to use, allowing remote opening from a computer, tablet or smartphone.
“With the SMARTair™ system we make sure that our residents are safe on the premises,” adds Olivier Debruyne of the Sainte Anne nursing home. “It’s an effective and affordable solution.”

For nursing homes, upgrading or replacing an outdated access system (whether this involves mechanical keys or an outdated hardwired system) is a very sensitive task. Like many organisations operating in France within this sector, the Sainte Anne nursing home opted for the SMARTair™ wireless access control system.
They guarantee maximum strength, security and durability even in the most aggressive environments, which makes them the ideal solution for installations with high traffic of people.
